Scraptoft Development

The Parish Council have been informed that the plans for the proposed development in Scraptoft, including the golf course, will be available to view at Scraptoft Village Hall on Saturday 18th January 2020.

Litter Picking

Following the successful litter picking event in 2019, we are hoping to organise a similar event on Sunday 26th January 2020.

As before, Pickers, Protective Gloves, Hi-Vis Vests and Bin Bags will be provided. Given the short daylight hours we propose starting off from the Village Hall at 11.00am.

All volunteers gratefully welcome!

Details of Information from Houghton Schools on admissions policy

Dear Mr. May,

On 18th November 2019 the Governing Body of Houghton on the Hill CofE Primary School approved a proposal to consult on a new Admissions Policy. The two amendments to current arrangements are:

  1. To cap the admission number in all classes at 30;
  2. To widen the catchment area from Houghton and Ingarsby to include the village of Hungarton.
